Root Canal Treatment in Pembroke Pines, Florida

Root canal treatment is a procedure Dr. Castillo performs to save your teeth and prevent painful tooth extractions. If your tooth is injured or infected, call us right away. We are here to relieve your symptoms, restore your tooth, and help you smile again.

How much does Root Canal Treatment cost?

The cost of your root canal treatment will depend on your symptoms and unique care needs. But rest easy knowing that Dr. Castillo is dedicated to offering the very best in personalized care at affordable prices. We accept insurance and offer convenient payment plans to help you get the care you deserve.

What is Root Canal Treatment?

A root canal treatment (known as endodontic treatment) saves a severely injured, inflamed, or decayed tooth when its pulp (the soft inner tissue inside a tooth's root canal) becomes inflamed or infected. If left untreated, pain or a tooth abscess (infection) can result.

Root canal treatment is completed in one or two visits to our modern Pembroke Pines office, depending on the presence of infection and the required treatment plan. Dr. Castillo will perform a thorough exam and take digital X-rays to assess the condition of your tooth and surrounding jawbone tissue. This will allow our dentist to determine the extent of the infection or injury and plan for your procedure.

During your root canal treatment, Dr. Castillo will administer a local anesthetic to numb your tooth and reduce any discomfort or pressure you may feel. For your comfort, we also offer laughing gas and oral sedation as necessary to help you relax. Then our dentist will remove the infected or inflamed dental pulp, clean out the root canal, and seal it.

After the root canal procedure, your tooth will need a dental crown to be properly restored. We offer crowns made from porcelain, zirconia, and gold, depending on your needs and preferences. Once your tooth has been restored, it will continue to function like any other tooth. With good oral hygiene, the restored tooth will remain strong and healthy for many years to come.

Do I need a Root Canal?

When the dental pulp inside the root canal becomes infected or inflamed, it can present with a variety of painful symptoms. The signs of an infected tooth include:

  • Pain and swelling in the face, jaw, or neck
  • Drainage around the root of the tooth
  • Sensitivity to temperature (cold or hot foods and beverages)
  • Tenderness or pain when biting or chewing

Call us right away if you experience one or more of the above symptoms.

Do Root Canals hurt?

The pain associated with a root canal comes from the painful toothache that patients suffer from before they seek treatment. During your procedure, our team will do everything we can to make your experience as comfortable, relaxed, and pain-free as possible. Be sure to ask about our sedation dentistry options to calm your nerves.

Best Dentist in Pembroke Pines!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Castillo Dental Studio, you will not be disappointed! Dr.Castillo was very thorough and answered all my questions. He explained the best treatment and dental care for me and I can tell he was truly genuine and not just trying to “sell” me all types of services. I have not been to the dentist in years and the whole staff made me feel VERY comfortable and is so friendly. The studio is super clean, its modern and beautifully designed; I'm absolutely in love! Thank you Castillo Dental Studio!!!
